That's right folks! We're back on the rumor mill again, this time with a strong certainty from two independent sources that the iPhone 5 will be released on October 7th.
9to5 Mac claims it has independently confirmed Friday, October 7th, as the launch date for Apple's new iPhone 5. It is also rumoured that pre-orders would commence at the end of September.
To us, this means there would have to be an announcement sometime in September concerning the release date of the iPhone 5. No doubt Steve Jobs will be announcing the iPhone 5 at some kind of conference held in San Francisco, sometime in September...
People have been keenly awaiting the release of Apple's latest version of their smartphone, the iPhone 5. As Apple prepares it's latest offering, the Android platform offers up more options for people every day. Recently, it was reported that Android sales in Australia surpassed the iPhone. With latest offerings such as the Samsung Galaxy S2, Apple's iPhone 5 better offer some compelling features to keep up with the competition.
The new features in the iPhone 5 include a dual-core A5 Processor, possibly more onboard storage (64GB!), and a 8 Megapixel Camera. Unconfirmed rumours talk about a NFC (Near Field Communications) Chip allowing merchant / customer wave-and-pay capabilities, and a larger edge-to-edge LED Screen.
Recent pictures have emerged detailing a elongated home button, allowing simple gestures. It's hard to say if this is a iPhone 5 assembly line, we will only know when the Announcement of the iPhone 5 release date is made.
