Apple's forthcoming iPhone 5 has many people wondering if they should wait and see what it has to offer.
Comparing the rumoured iPhone 5 to smartphone's that are currently available is difficult, and it makes the decision to wait or buy now all that much harder.
With Samsung's latest offering of the Galaxy S2, many people are flocking over to the android platform and enjoying every last second of it. Compared to the iPhone 4, the Samsung Galaxy has a brighter screen, snappier / faster interface, and renders all web pages as they should - including flash!
So, the question on everyone's heads & minds is 'Should i wait to see what the iPhone 5 delivers, or just buy what's currently available?
It's a good question, and one worth looking into. Technology is constantly improving, and what is released today could be redundant and / or upgraded in 6 months time. That's simply the nature of the techo beast.
Anyone who is looking at the current offerings could understandably be confused in knowing which option to choose. The matter is made all the more confusing when you're looking at which iPhone plan to purchase... Talking about this with friends recently, we came to the agreement that mobile phone plans are specifically designed to confuse people and steer them away from being able to compare them accurately, side by side.
Some simple maths is all it takes, just work out how many minutes each carrier offers, and go with the one that offers the best value. However, other factors include coverage, signal strength, and speed of 3G data connection. Some companies are definitely better then others, especially in Australia.
But getting back to our original topic - wait for the iPhone 5, or buy a iPhone 4 or other smartphone now?
If you're in desperate need of a smartphone, we suggest you buy one now. Yes, we know, very basic advice, but there's no point in holding back when you actually need something. Don't worry, the possible improvement's in technology won't ruin your day.
If, on the other hand, you already have a smartphone, perhaps an iPhone 3GS, and are happy with it, then by all means, wait! You won't see a phone release that'll revolutionise your smartphone experience. It'll most likely just improve on it. Take your time, save your pennies, and see what's in store for Apple's future release.
Whatever decision you choose to make, ensure that once you make it, you make the most of it. Technology has improved our lives, but it's also a huge distraction and potential time sink. Whatever technology you possess, use it wisely and don't forget to take some time out now and then!
