An Application that monitors your local fuel pricing will soon be coming to Australian iPhones.

Called 'GasBag', the application is setup to locate the cheapest local petrol station by utilizing user-reported pricing information and mapping technology.

The developers of Gasbag, 'Jamcode', three of which are Australian - saw the potential of the application in the current economic climate. They launched it in the US just one month ago, and have since taken on 75,000 subscribers.

Launching in Australia, Canada & the UK around the end of October, they aim to target a user base of 400,000 to 500,000 users by the end of the year. They are currently mapping out and defining all the Petrol Stations in Australia, and re-engineering the Software to Metric Units.

The App will be offered for free and funded by Ad's displayed within the application.
